Restaurant Ordering System and QR Menu
A restaurant ordering system gets the order from the customer to the kitchen quickly and without mistakes: by QR code at the table, by phone for delivery, or as takeaway. A QR menu, on the other hand, simply displays the menu on the phone; it does not take orders. At Kayrus Tech we develop QR menus, table ordering and online ordering systems for cafes and restaurants.
Which system suits you?
| Need | Solution |
|---|---|
| A menu you can update instead of a printed one | QR menu |
| Reducing the load on waiters at peak hours | QR ordering at the table |
| Taking orders without paying commission to food delivery platforms | Your own online ordering website |
| A loyalty programme for returning customers | Mobile app |
The real core of the system: the kitchen
What determines the success of the system is whether the order reaches the kitchen display or printer with the correct table number, drinks are routed to the bar, sold-out items disappear from the menu instantly and everything matches the bill. A connection to the POS or billing program you use depends on whether that program offers an external interface.
QR menu prices and the cost of an ordering system
Off-the-shelf QR menu and ordering apps usually run on a monthly subscription; some charge a commission per order. With a custom system you pay the development cost once and the flow is built entirely around you. The number of branches, the POS connection, whether you will take payments and the number of languages determine the quote. We explained the selection criteria in detail in our table QR ordering system guide.
Frequently asked questions
Do customers need to download an app?
No. The QR menu and table ordering work in the browser.
Can tourists see the menu in their own language?
Yes; the menu is prepared in several languages and the customer picks their language.
Is courier tracking available for delivery?
Courier assignment and tracking can be added; setting up the courier operation itself, however, is the business’s job. Details are in our article on restaurant ordering apps.
Tell us the number of tables and branches, your POS system and which type of ordering you want to start with, and we will work out the right scope together.
Let’s talk about your project.
Tell us what you need. We define the scope together and send an itemised, fixed-price proposal.
