Getting a Website Built in Antalya: What Determines the Price?
There is no honest single-figure answer to “how much does a website cost in Antalya?”. Two quotes for the same business can differ by several times, and that difference usually comes not from one company being expensive or cheap, but from the two quotes covering different work. This article does not give you a price list; it explains what determines a quote and how to compare the quotes in front of you.
Why can’t you find a clear price list online?
Because a “website” is not a single product. The difference in work between a five-page brochure site and a three-language hotel site that takes bookings is like the difference between a flat and an apartment block. On top of that, some of the items that determine the cost belong to the business: who will write the content, are there photos, will there be a migration from an existing site?
You will come across lists that give concrete ranges. These figures can give an idea, but a figure whose scope is unknown cannot be used for comparison. The right question is not “what does the market charge?” but “what scope does my need fall into, and what does that scope cost?”
First decide what job the site will do
Budget comes after scope. And scope is determined by what the site expects from the visitor.
- Being visible: When customers search for you, they find you, see what you do and call. A few pages are enough.
- Collecting enquiries: Visitors compare services and fill in a form. Service pages, references and a well-designed form are needed.
- Taking appointments or bookings: Calendar, availability and a confirmation flow come into play; this is now a software job.
- Selling: Cart, payment, shipping and order management. Before deciding, look at the question of your own site or a marketplace; for the budget side we have our e-commerce website cost article.
These four needs build on each other, and each step changes the cost noticeably. Saying which step you are at when requesting quotes makes the figures you receive comparable.
The items that determine a quote
To understand what is inside a quote, each of the following items needs to be written out separately.
| Item | What you should ask |
|---|---|
| Number of pages and templates | How many different templates will be designed? Ten repetitions of the same template and ten different designs are not the same work. |
| Design approach | Adaptation of a ready-made theme, or a design specific to your brand? A ready-made theme is fast, but limits can appear in later changes. |
| Content | Who will write the texts? Is there a photo shoot? This item is the one most often skipped in quotes and the one that most often delays the project. |
| Number of languages | Every language means translation + separate content management + technical setup. In tourism this item grows. |
| Admin panel | Which areas will you be able to update yourself? “There is a CMS” does not mean you can change everything. |
| Forms and integrations | Enquiry form, map, WhatsApp, email marketing, accounting connection — each is separate work. |
| Migration from the existing site | Are content transfer, preserving old URLs and redirects included in the scope? For details see our website redesign article. |
| Revision rounds | How many rounds of changes are included? How are further rounds charged? |
| After delivery | How many months of support are there? Is maintenance monthly or on request? What does it cover? Details: planning maintenance and support. |
Annual costs beyond the development fee
The figure in the quote finishes the project; the items that keep the site alive are separate. Knowing them from the start prevents surprises in the second year.
- Domain name (renewed annually)
- Hosting or server
- SSL certificate — included in some packages, not in others
- Business email
- Paid theme, plugin or third-party service subscriptions, if used
- Maintenance, updates and backups
- Payment provider fees, if you sell online
Also clarify in whose name these items will be purchased. We recommend that domain and hosting accounts are opened in your business’s name; even if you change companies later, the site and the address stay with you.
Why can the cheapest quote end up expensive?
A cheap quote is not always a bad quote; its scope may genuinely be narrow, and if that is all you need, it is the right choice. The problem arises when it is not noticed that the difference comes from the scope. Typical scenarios:
- Content writing is not included; the site is built but sits empty.
- There is no admin panel; every small change becomes a paid request.
- Revisions are limited to one round; from the second round on, extra fees appear.
- Migration from the existing site is out of scope; the addresses of old pages are lost.
- Domain and hosting are opened in the company’s account; problems arise when you want to leave.
- There is no support after delivery.
When putting quotes side by side, ask about these six items one by one. Most of the time the difference is not that one is more expensive than the other, but that the two describe different work.
How do you set your budget?
Think bottom-up, not top-down. Instead of “how much should I set aside for a website?”, ask this: how many enquiries, calls or sales per month would this site need to bring in to pay for itself? The figure gains meaning through this question.
If the budget is tight, reducing the scope is a better route than reducing the quality. Launching a proper site with three service pages and growing it later gives better results than a half-finished ten-page site.
Frequently asked questions
How long until the site goes live?
The timeline depends on the scope and on when the content is ready. The most common cause of delay in projects is not design or development but waiting for texts and images. When requesting quotes, ask for the timeline together with the scope, in writing.
Ready-made theme or custom design — which makes more sense?
If your budget is limited and your need is standard, a ready-made theme is a reasonable start. If your brand’s visual identity is decisive for sales or you have a non-standard flow, custom design is needed.
Website or mobile app — which comes first?
If your customers find you through search, the website generally comes first. An app creates value when there is a recurring usage relationship. For a comparison, see our mobile app cost article.
Can I update the site myself?
Which areas will be editable through the admin panel is decided at the start of the project. “There is a panel” does not mean every area can be changed; ask about this distinction at the quote stage.
Will my site rank at the top of Google?
No company can guarantee a particular ranking. The technical foundation and content structure prepare the ground for results; the outcome is determined by competition, the continuity of content and time.
